Forbes
LB Architects created a multifunctional and engaging interior for Forbes Media, utilizing a 7,500 SF ground level event space in a former hotel turned residential building redesigned by Emory Roth. Inspired by the existing architecture of the space, as well as the ‘living room’ concept of co-working spaces and downtown hotels, the space was designed and built with an aggressive budget and schedule. LB designed custom millwork and furniture and selected accessories to enhance key elements of the design including the restoration of original plaster ceilings, a terrazzo dance floor, and antiqued etched mirrors. The inclusion of audiovisual elements and a video screen wall enable Forbes to host a variety of events, and the space is often used as the stage for creation of branded digital content.
